Throughout my experiences in high school, I've gathered a good bit of information on relationships. I can attribute this partly to my boy craze of 2011 and partly to the fact that it's just unavoidable. By no means do I believe that every relationship is the same, nor am I putting down the validity of high school relationships. I merely want to comment on my experiences and observations of teenage love.
The biggest culture shock upon entering high school was the amount of overly friendly couples in the halls. PDAers seem to be the most unavoidable group of human beings in the world when you're just trying to get to physics. PDA stands for Public Displays of Affection. You eventually learn to avoid certain hallways and stay in populated areas to avoid observing this disgusting ritual. I personally do not see much romance in sharing a long and sloppy kiss that is eventually ended by Dr. Hebert screaming, "SAVE ROOM FOR THE HOLY GHOST," but maybe that's just me.
Try to avoid becoming this couple at all costs! If you catch yourself being a little too lovey in the halls, just think WWHS; What Would Hebert Say?
